Matheson is pleased to have advised on all aspects of the sale of Aut Even Hospital to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), a non-profit academic medical centre, based in Pittsburgh, United States. Aut Even Hospital is a 71 bed hospital located in Kilkenny and the oldest private hospital in Ireland.
A cross-departmental Matheson team advised on the transaction. The corporate restructuring and insolvency team was led by partner Julie Murphy O’Connor and senior associate Kevin Gahan and the corporate M&A team was led by senior associate Enda Garvey and senior associate Robert Maloney Derham.
