Matheson has once again been recognised at the Financial Times (FT) Innovative Lawyers Awards Europe 2019 and has received the ranking of Ireland’s Most Innovative Law Firm.
Matheson has been ranked in the FT’s Top 25 Most Innovative Law Firms in Europe. Standout Matheson performances this year included:
- The work of the legal team involved in our Global Brexit Restructuring entry, which was commended in the legal expertise category for Innovation in Management of Complexity and Scale in Europe;
- Our top five ranking in Europe for diversity and inclusion, and the only Irish law firm to be identified by the FT for Innovation in Diversity and Inclusion; and
- Matheson’s Head of London Office and Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution partner, Sharon Daly’s ranking by the FT as one of the Top 10 Most Innovative Lawyers in Europe. The submission led by Sharon in relation to Ireland’s first paperless trial was commended by the FT in the category of Innovation in New Business and Service Delivery Models.

The results were announced at the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards Europe 2019 ceremony which took place in London on Thursday, 12 September, with this year's competitive programme drawing over 750 entries from 163 law firms and legal services providers, and 47 in-house legal teams from across Europe.
